My dear Lukens,
I have not been able to leave home for a long time on account of Grippe. So I cant give particulars as to Sequoia lands of Moore & Smith As to my views on the sheep forest business they are well known. Anyhow, I cant possibly write on the subject just now as I am away behind on promised articles that must be done soon. I dont belive however that the sheep evil will ever again gain headway in Cal. Yous should all insist on more guards.
Cordially Yours
