At the approach of the joyful festival of Christmas I always think of friends and acquaintances that I hold in the highest esteem, and having had the pleasure of visiting you on two occasions lately and being most cordially and pleasantly entertained by you, I take the liberty of sending you this card with my best wishes that you may have many a happy Christmas still on earth, and many a glad New Year.
