[Original letter returned to Mrs. Anna R. Dickey]

Martinez, Nov. 26, 1913.

Dear Mrs. Dickey:

What a glorious wild reviving summer you and brave Donald have had in the cool fragrant woods of the North. How glad I'll be to see you and hear your story.
I'm writing this note to find out whether you have yet returned to your snug nest in the Pasadena oaks. I had a letter from Mrs. Hooker a week or two ago. The whole family, I fancy, will be soon on their way home. I think we are going to win H. Hetchy fight.

Ever faithfully yours,
JOHN MUIR
