Dear Mr Muir,
I am making a flying visit to Mother as I am sailing on the Adriatic on Saturday for Naples to be the guest of Mrs Fowler in Italy and Algiers - hoping to go on the desert All of this is very sudden I have declined two previous invitations but Thursday Donald came out of the New Brunswick woods looking splendidly after his three blessed months

and he persuaded me to accept and promises me to come over by New Years if he can finish up his photo work & be released from a certain contract. I hope I am doing right but it is a great temptation as I do not know when I could ever go otherwise, I am so in hopes of making connections with the Hookers but have only their Paris bankers' address and have written them there to forward. I get homesick twinges for the dear home and California. you must send a line sometime. My address is c/o Mrs. E. M. Fowler. Broom Shipley & Co. London, England.
I spent a week in Washington, had a nice little visit over the telephone with Mr Merriam. He was away until the last day. I so sincerely hope you are well and that the coming year may bring you every joy and comfort.
Ever sincerely your friend
Anna R. Dickey
