My dear Mr Shepardson:
Many thanks for the fine telling photographs illustrating the dedication of Muir Lodge. I am very sorry that I was unable to be with you but look forward with pleasure to a visit, when I can meet you all & make your acquaintance in true mountaineer style.
I sent you copy of my Stickeen to presnt to your daughter Kathryn. It is Bailey Millard's autograph she should have for his copy of Muir of the mtns.
With all good wishes I am
faithfully yours
John Muir
