My dear Mr Muir

The table top & other pieces are being shipped by the Army transport that takes this letter. Please address "Depot Quartermaster U.S. Army San Francisco & give directions as to shipment from his depot. I hope you will like the top - it will darken in color when polished & after a year or so. It is farily well seasoned - the parts with it are not seasoned & should be given a little more time & then kiln dried. Am also sending you two of our bulletins & a wood sample of the wood in table top (Narra) same as Padouk of India. It gives me a real geniune pleasure to do this for you who have been doing so much all of your life for other people. The enclosed clipping will tell you of a new line of endeavor. As you were orginally (boyhood) from Wisconson you may be interested.

I am looking forward to a visit to California in 1915 & hope to see you at that time. When will the next part of your autobiography come out? - the second of what I presume will be in three parts.
Wishing you continued health & ability to keep at your work

sincerely
