Darling Helen.
The sooner it seems to me that you get back to the desert the better. These Los Angeles sea fogs cannot be good for you. In the meantime you must have loss work & more quiet rest undisturbed by the children, at whatever cost. The children should sleep entirely separate from you, either with Buel or a servant. No matter how they cry for their mother the children will quickly yield to the inevitable. Better that they cry now for a few nights, then cry for years should you give your Life for them & make us a11 go crying to our graves. Go to your doctor for advice & tell me what he says. Better that Buel leaves or loses his business than lose you. I would have been with you ere this had I not known I would make more work for you.
Now darling be warned to take care of yourself ere it is too late. Write just a Line every day or two days at most to your devoted father & best lover.
