Mr. John Muir,
Author of "The Mountains of California".
Dear Sir:-
I thank you very much for your kind permission to print the "Sierra Storm". John Burroughs looked it over, and commended you and your works enthusiastically. He ran up early one morning to take, breakfast with us, and look through my manuscript with much interest.
Mr. Scott, President of the Century Co., has given his permission. I am glad you've suggested the name "Sierra Storm".
Yours sincerely
