My dear Mr. Muir:
A number of pressing engagements have made me postpone the promised letter to the President about the Hetch Hetchy matter, but now it is off and I am mailing you a copy, trusting that it will meet with your approval.
President Wheeler is out of town, but I hope to see him as soon as possible after his return, and will let you know the result of the interview. The delightful Sunday with you and Helen and your kind hospitality linger in memory. We all thoroughly enjoyed the fine box of muscat grapes and thank you so much for your thoughtfulness in sending them.
My nook in the Claremont hills is now finished and I go there daily to my work. Some day ere long I hope I may have the pleasure of taking you there for a day of quiet talk.
All the children are well and unite with me in hearty greetings to you and Helen.
Sincerely your friend,
Charles Keeler
