Dear Doctor Merriam
Helen and I are now fairly settled in the old home, Wanda and Mr. Hanna in the adobe. Helen I'm glad to say is getting through the winter very well and enjoys her new trade of housekeeping.
Several weeks ago I sent a few nuts, raisins etc. which I hope you will get in time for Christmas to help make cheer at least for the children. With all best wishes for the New Tear for yourself and family and the Baileys I am
Faithfully yours,
JOHN MUIR
