December 30, 1905,
My dear Mr, Muir:
I saw you standing with President Roosevelt last night, mountains to match, all around, in one of the magazines, and it reminded me at once that I wanted to look up your address and tell you about my own little mountain,-my all out-doors magazine. I will be very glad if you will let me have it sent to you regularly, and if it should interest you as a possible contributor.
It is to branch out very soon, and I am hoping to bring together on the mountain, all of the best writers in

the world who have the out-door point of view, or who put the out-door feeling into indoor subjects.
Sincerely yours.
