Dear Brother John:-
This has been a sad homecoming for you all, and still Louie is very ill. I did not know that she was worse than usual until Maggie's letters came, written on the 26th and 27th June. The last one the fluid had been drawn from her lung giving her relief: We have had nothing later until yesterday and kept hoping that she was still keeping better. In the letter to Miss Thayer Ette says that the case is still very serious. How hard it must be for you all. I sympathize with you all in your anxiety and will hope there still may be a change for the better.
Give my love to Wanda and Helen. What a blessed comfort it will be to their mother to have you all back and about her.
I shall hope to hear from you soon.
Affectionately your Sister
Sarah M. Galloway.
Grace will likely be in the Valley this week some time and will see you all.
