My dear Muir:
In accordance with your request I return herewith the text of the Recession act and Mr. Colby's letter of February 24th. I thank you very much for the clippings you have sent me and hope to make an editorial note on the success of the measure.
I shall also communicate with the President very soon. As soon as you can do so it would be well for you to send him a copy of the text of the bill.
Why do you speak of the Interior Department having charge of the valley? Do you not know that all the parks and reservations have been transferred from the Interior Department to the Agricultural Department, and are now in Pinchot's charge?
Sincerely yours,
R. U. Johnson
Associate Editor.
