Dear Mr. Cornish:
I think I gave your name to Mr. Colby, the Secretary of our Club, some time ago, and I am very glad to have you for a member.
The general lot of canyon stereographs which your father so Kindly sent me arrived yesterday, Please return my thanks, and tell your mother and father that their visit is pleasantly remembered by us all, especially by me for its many associations of the auld lang syne* Come again and see us when you can.
