My dear Mr. Muir,
After many years of patient suffering Janet is dead. You were one of her dearest friends of whom she spoke often and of whose friendship she was always proud.
My mother is bearing the strain remarkably well and promises to be

With affectionate memories of your kindness to Janet and to all of us I am sincerely yours,
Charles W. Moores.
