continued from page 2, John Muir is still my special delight. I have read his "National Parks", his "Mountains of California" and his article on "Alaskan Glaziers" in Harriman Expedition. I have read several selections from the two former works in the Friday Club which have been received so enthusiastically that several have purchased the books. I think his vocabulary and style the most charming. Sometimes a whole chapter will read like a poem. He is altogether the leading writer in his own special subjects and I am a proud and happy old Dolly in that I can boast that I met him and his family in the privacy of

his own home. Thanks to you and your sister-in-law.
I hear that Geo. purchased large missing lands in Mexico (He did not tell me himself though)
Clara is to marry Fred [Waldren?] next month. Meantime Frank and Adda have rented Mrs Walter Bennetts house and are coming on in a few days - presumable to prepare for the event.
No I have [illegible] you all I know. See that you return the favor.
With Love
Dolly
