[in margin: Mrs. F Swett]
Martinez, Calif.
January 20, 1905.
Dear Mr. Muir -
Margaret wishes me to say "thank you" for the New Year's remembrance that her grandma gave us some little time ago. And will you pardon my negligence in acknowledging its receipt? I thought Frank had said "thank you," and it seems

he thought I had done so.
If it is not too late, let us wish you and yours a happy healthful new year. When you feel like taking a tramp in the sunshine, I hope you will come up to see us and make our wee lady's acquaintance.
Greetings to Mrs. Muir and the girls.
Yours most sincerely,
Myrta Wallace Swett
