Dear Mr Johnson:
May I trouble you to send me 2 more copies of the September 1897 Century. [illegible] judging by the many questions I have to answer about the Dog story it might sell well as a little book.
How are you all coming on. Owen I see has written another book. Good luck to him & to you all.
Yosemite recession seems promising, though Hearst's paper here is fighting it with damnable skill & energy. Here is a specimen of what appears in every days Examiner.
