Wheeler is still in Wyo. and Howard is an Insurance agent and doing well. I think Helen is in her last year at the High School. She is also taking music lessons and doing well. Celia is still in Portland, at her last writing she was having a hard cold and had been having some rheumatism I think she will hope to try another climate. I had a letter from Grace a few days since. We are hoping she and her husband will make us a visit next summer. I shall hope to hear from you or the girls. I suppose Sarah will home from her school work just now. Harriet and Mabel will be at home. Your girls will be a great comfort to you Emma. With kindest regards to all, from Sister Sarah.

Dear Sister Emma:-

I am too late to wish you a happy Christmas, but may the New Year hold all that is good and best for yourself, Harriet, Sarah, and Mabel. May many blessings fall to your lot. I have been sick for some time, and just as soon as I was able to take the trip I came to Pacific Grove. I am not strong yet, but gaining nicely.
I found Anna and the children well, They all like this place very much and Anna feels satisfied that they will yet

get on all right. Pacific Grove is close on the Bay of [illegible]y. It makes me think of our old home in Scotland as I look out on the Bay and watch the waves as they come rolling in, and dash in spray against the rocks. It seems wonderfully beautiful with what power they come rushing in. I have not been down to the beach yet, though close by, but will soon now. I left Maggie better than she has been, but she is never very well, She has had a great deal of sickness through the past summer and fall. Perhaps you will have seen Anna and Jessie since their visit in the Valley and so would get lots of news. We enjoyed their visit very much. When I left, John and Louie were usually well. John busy writing another book. Wanda will now be home for the holidays. Helen though pretty well has still to be very careful in damp weather. David had been very sick, but was much better before I came away. Ette was usually well. They are trying to sell their ranch, thinking to get on in some easier way for both. I have not heard from Joanna for some time, she had been quite sick, but was better when we heard last. They were still at Port Norfolk Virginia and enjoy living there. I had a letter from Mary a short time ago, all seems to be going well with them.
