My dear cousin
I was glad to get your letter the other day telling yours & Maggie's good health & good visit last summer. I took your letter over to Margaret & Sarah & they also were glad to hear from you They both had colds but are better now, David also had a severe cold but he is almost well again So we are all about as usual except Helen. She had nearly recovered from pneumonia

last spring when she went with Wanda to the mountains & climbed & walked until she brought on a second inflamation of the lungs. By careful nursing she is slowly recovering. though I still feel anxious.
I'm writing as usual. Now on a mountain book, which I hope to get off my hands by spring
Remember me to Maggie & all the clan. I enclose $20. for the poor I am
Affectionately your
