John Muir Esq Martinez Cal Oct 1st 1904 Dear Sir I will make out a kind of a passbook and commence to pay to Francis George every month as much as I possibly can, commencing Jan 1905. The interest will be paid first and then the payments will apply on principal. We have talked this out thoroughly and see no other way unless you wish to take the property. Something will be paid every month but I will not say any stated amount for fear I may have one more trip to the hospital and I could not keep my promise, but it will be all I can every month and we hope it will be satisfactory to you both. Kindly let me know at your earliest convenience if you approve of it. I send insurance policy under separate cover. Yours very truly J. Emil Petersen
