EDITORIAL OFFICE OF **THE** ATLANTIC MONTHLY 4 PARK ST. * BOSTON

July 15, 1904.

Dear Mr. Muir,

Before you went to Asia with professor Sargent, you were good enough to say that you would bear in mind the possibility of writing out for the Atlantic some of your impressions of the Journey. Now that you are comfortably settled at home again, I hope you have already begun to take your pen in hand. It will be a great pleasure to learn, at your convenience, that you are inclined to serve the Atlantic once more.

Sincerely yours,

[Illegible]Mr. John Muir.
