February 2, 1904.

Dear Mr. Muir:-

May we remind you again of our very warm interest in the hooks which we hope to see from your hand, particularly the volume on Alaska, and that more personal book, which we hope you have made up your mind to write-in the nature of Reminiscences. We suspect that this letter will follow you half across the world and may reach you under conditions which make anything like writing impossible; and yet we hope the reminder will tend to hasten the completion of the books to which we look forward.

Yours sincerely,
Houghton Nipplin Co.
N. B. Parker.

Mr. John Muir.
