To the Secretary of the Smithsonian [illegible] Institution - Washington, D.C.

Dear Sir:-

Will you kindly give me a seven to ten minnet sketch of the life and works of John Muir, who as I understand is in the employ of the government as geologist and perhaps in other capacities, in our National Parks and Reservations.
From the literary point I have "Wild Parks and Forest Reservations of the West"- "The Yellowstone National Parks"- "Among the Animals of the Yosemite-" and "The Grand Canon [diacritic]
