My dear Mr Gilder
Thanks for the rime of the Ancient ice farmer. It is very funny but you could & should write something better in dead glacial earnest.
I have not yet began the recollection job. Am busy with forests.
I have just received a letter from Johnson proposing a little story book I'd like to try.
The Four brook visit still shines in mind.
Remember me to Mrs Gilder & the children
Ever Cordially Yours
