My dear Mr. Muir:

You will see by the enclosed clipping that The Bulletin is willing to take up this question of bird destruction. Some of us hope to persuade certain of the women's club to take action in the matter. I purpose following this up with another article with interviews etc from some of our bird lovers. Will you please send me a few lines on the subject? Write what you feel [moved?] to say, and let me print it. The [willeners?] say that not in 20 years have birds been used for trimining as they are this winter. We need to strike hard and quickly just now, to make an impression.
I shall want the matter by Wednesday. May I hope for a prompt reply to this? I am sure you will glady keep the good work along.

Very sincerely yours
