My deer Sir;
The way now seems clear for the Alaska trip, and in accordance with Mr. Harriman's kind invitation I'll hope to join his party at Seattle about the end of next month. As soon as the day of sailing is fixed please let me know it.
To this trip I look forward with much pleasure not only for the new country but the company. Usually I have to go alone. Please convey my thanks to Mr. Harriman and believe me
Ever yours,
JOHN MUIR
