My dear Mr Keeler.
I thank you for the little book on Southern California It is well done, infinitely better than those R.R. Tourist things so common nowadays the [Mustrations?] too are capital & deserve a better place. Why not make half a dozen books of this little one without special reference to R.Rs hotels, tourists, etc I'm sure the world would give you a hearing. Go ahead!
With best wishes hoping your fine talents will speedily find due expression
I am heartily yours
John Muir
