Portage Wis. Feb. 10, 1893 Dear Uncle John We thank you very much for the money that you sent for Christmas presents. We brought over shoes with
it. The snowΓÇÖs very deep and I have lots of fun wading in it when it is not too cold. Sometimes it is 30 below zero. Ethel was afraid she could not write good enough but I am not afraid. Love to Uncle David and Aunt Ette. Mama says love to all. Bessie Brown
