More praise for my photo I sent him of the trees North of Tuolumne he has never been there.
Martinez, July 8, 1896. [8?]
My dear Mr Lukens
The more we look at the last batch of pictures, the better we like them. Especially the family group & Lottie in the basket.
I have just returned from Mt Shasta when I went to examine the flowers of Abies Magnifica. I leave for British Columbia forests at the end of this month
Hoping to hear from you on those wonderful trees, & with love to Lottie
I am Yrs Truly
