My dear- Muir;
Thanks for your letter which I find this morning on my return from Washington and for the information it contains. I find here also the enclosed which I am turning over to you for your consideration as you are the person who does not see differences and who leads me out of the straight and narrow paths which separate Murrayana and contorta and ponderosa and Jeffreyi. When you have sufficiently pondered Lenmon's letter 1 should be glad to have you return it to me.
