Martinez, June, 8th 1898.
My dear Sellers.
I had a charming group of mountain days in the Sierra & Washoe Mountains after I left you, but I was too early for the fir flowers I was seeking. I have just returned from a weeks trip to Mt Shasta but have again failed to find the magnifica flowers. I had a good time however in the snow & bracing air. I saw Keith yesterday & found him about as semisane as usual & greatly enjoying the Nicoliana you sent him, Mine also came to hand & is very fine. I may possibly drift East sometime this summer attracted by the Atlantic forests trusting that the grippe is gone & all is well with you
I am cordially yours
