Mr. John Muir

My dear Sir: -
In the winter of 1896-7 I had the pleasure of hearing your address before the Sierra Club regarding the "Forests of the Sierra". I have also enjoyed your discussions of the "Big Trees" in your Mountains of California. If I am not mistaken I think you published some years ago in the [illegible] A A A S. an article dealing with [illegible] [illegible] with the destruction of the Big Trees.
If it is possible will you please send me a copy of this article as I am greatly interested in the subject [harms?] made an Extension trip among the Big Trees [illegible] in 1896. Thank you for this favor.
I remain
Yours very truly.
