My dear Johnson
Here are two hopeful clippings in the midst of gloomy forest clouds what do you think of the new magazine the Forester of the Am. Forestry Assoc. I dont like the form of it so far proving the benefit of sheep in forests, the mistakes of the Academy Com. etc. Pinchot seems to have fallen into the arms of politicians. I wish you would write a forestry editorial for the Century & get Sargent to write another. The reservations made by Cleveland last year will soon be up again in Congress.
With best wishes ever Yrs
