John Muir,

Port Townsend Wash.

Dear Sir;

Having read your views of the Yukon District which did not give your idea as to the best time to go to Alaska I would like to know if it is convenient for you to write. Also the best part of the district, and and the clothes one aught to take.
I have often wondered how the glacier got

its name but never knew until I saw you article in the Republic.

Yours respectfully
