Mrs. John Muir,
Martinez, Cal.

Dear Mrs. Muir:-

If Mr. Muir has not returned from the King's River Canon when this reaches you, will you kindly write him that it might be worth while for him to visit also the Tulare Big Tree reservation. The Secretary of the Interior is making inquires as to the best way to take care of these recently reserved parks, and any information which Mr. Muir could give, would be of great use. Also such a trip might furnish him material for an additional page to the King's River Canon article.
Will you also say to Mr. Muir, that Mr. A.K. Ward of Hite's Cove, Mariposa Co,[illegible] has been here to-day, and is to go to see the Secretary of the Interior. He believes that the whole ring should be rooted out and will strongly wage the secretary's cooperation in the [illegible] to [illegible] the old grant.

With Kindest regards,

Very Sincerely Yours,

R.N. Johnson.
