Mr. John Muir,
Martinez, California.
My dear Muir:-
Will you kindly drop a line to the writer of the inclosed letter, as we are not able to refer to your MS. which I sent back to you some days ago.
Burroughs spent three days with us last week, and we talked much of you. He is thinking of going to California, but has not determined when.
I haven't yet written in reply to [Trish?]. Senate on Sep. 22 passed resolution to instruct dept of Interior to investigate Yosemite abuses. Am trying to push it in the House before adjournment.
Yours very sincerely. R. U. Johnson
