The Mortgage will come along in a little while I will have to send ti to Wis for Sara to sign. as the land is all in her name.

Will be awful glad to see you in the spring. in hopes you will see for your own advantage to buy a half interest in this ranch.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas & a happy New Year is the prayer of your humble servant John Reid

Dear Brother John

We feel very grateful to you for your kindness. I am so glad you are coming to see us. & hope nothing will occur to hinder you. I hope Louie has got well & that you & the 'little folks' are enjoying good health. You see I am still here in Kansas. I feel as I ought to go home soon but do not like to leave John with so much house work it takes so much of his time. I am feeling much better & the children seem to be getting along all right

Kindest regards to the Doctor & Mrs Strentzel wishing

them & Louie & the children & yourself a pleasant "Christmas" & "Happy new Year' May Heavens best blessings be yours. Affectionately Maggie
