My dear Prof Muir,
I have just returned from Atlantic City where I took Mrs. Reid & her son to enjoy for a while the salt air; I find your letter of May 15th awaiting me. Your former letter was also duly received. Thank you very much for your good offices in seeing Gov. Perkins & securing for me the reductions you men-
mention. I am busily engaged preparing for the summer; and look forward with hopes of seeing you. I expect to take two camp hands & possibly one companion with me this summer, & shall make further & longer excursions than I did two years ago. I should be delighted to have your company.
