John Muir,
My dear Brother:
Herewith please find mortgage for $2000 and two interest notes for one hundred each. Please sign the notes and the deed of trust and send to me as quickly as possible. Please have Louie sign the deed of trust before notary public. I have sold the note and the purchaser required it made to me so I could transfer to him and join my name to yours.
J[oanna] and the babies are well.
Hastily,
Walter Brown
