John Muir Martinez Cal Dear Brother:
Herewith you will find the deed from William D. Brown and wife to you for the house 909. Lydia Ave which I got a few days since from the Registers office. The house is worth cash $13.000. and now there is an Incumbrance of 7000.$. $2000. of which I can pay on the 5th of October. It is due then but perhaps we might extend it but as it is drawing 10% it should be paid, and as I am [illegible]ealing so much if you can spare 2000.$ I would like to you send it to Mr. [Roy?] I might not have money out at that thime altho I expect to now, and again I may sell the house or trade it for a vacant lot close in before the payment comes due, I simply wish to not get stuck in any corner, and in case I do not need to pay it I can send it back.
I cannot send a statement now [stricken word] owning to the fact of our not yet having secured the Quit Claim from some heirs

and cannot yet tell what it will cost, however you can say what share of the profits are mine when your money is made back and all the deal is closed leaving a net profit. I keep an accurate book acc of every thing [illegible] and can do are each and I will send you a statement as soon as the Quit Claim is secured.
I am going to take J. and the babies to Crete for a change on Tuesday next if all are well, both children have been sick but are better now.
With Love to you and yours and Annie L I am Truly Walter Brown
