very unusual weather for this part of the world at this time of year) for about two weeks now, I think much like tha twinter we spent with you white frost. Joy & sunshine mixed

We expected Joanna & Walter & Ethel about Christmas. but they failed to come. J. was afraid of a change of weather about the time she intended to start as Ethel has a cold. But the last we heard they would try to spend New Year's with us * hope everything will prove favorable to their coming this time.

The children have a vacation of two weeks

[3] and are having a gay noisy time. John spends most of his time among sheep & cols. Christmas he went jack rabbit hunting with other citizens.

I wish I could run in and have a good talk with you all instead of using my pen which today seems slow & uninte resting. I have no doubt but that if we were all together my tongue would get loose and we would have a good talk

Give Wanda a good kiss for Aunt Maggie tell her I would like very much to see her and
