Dear Mr Muir,
I see by the evening paper that you are in town. Both Mr Davis & I are anxious to see you. Can you not take tea with us to-morrow evening? I have been quite sick but am much better today. We all have a very pleasant remembrance of you & will be much disappointed if we do not see you.
Your friend
Bettie K. Davis
If you should be engaged to-morrow
then set your own time. We will be glad to have you taste our “salt” at any meal [or?] any day.
