Will reach Portage at 6. this evening. Snow & rain & [dismal?] weather generally since leaving Denver. Grand views in the Rockies. Have been quite well. Have seen but faint signs of spring since leaving California. Arround here in howling blast of sleet half an hour ago Take the Portage train in two hours. Would hunt up Col. Sellers in the meantime were it not for the [could could?] blast. Love to all
