family are all well - as far as I know - I liked the newspaper you sent me very much - I am glad you take an interest in the Sunday school - where ever our home ma be, we will be very glad to have a visit from you when ever you think you can spare the time - I expect your marriage trip will be home - and now Dear Daniel I commend you to God and to the word of his grace which is able to build you up - and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified - from your affectionate Mother

I received your very welcome letter of Decr. 8th and am much gratified to know that your health is good - and your Practice increasing I hope you will prosper in both Spiritual and temporal things You write that greater changes will yet take place among us, than have yet occurred well I think I see the appearance of great changes during the last week -. we were surprised to hear your father say he had decided to sell

every thing he possessed in Marquite [Co?] by Auction - he is now busy distributing bills of sale - the sale to take place on Tuesday - 5th of March- he wishes to keep some of our best furniture but nothing more - only think the farm to be sold by Auction - he says he cannot decide, on where he will go, or what he will do, until after sale day is over, perhaps we may not move after all - I presume you have been told about the man that came to our house, and told us he had left John on the 2 of Jany. - for nine days we listened to lectures about John and the

Yosemite valley - when Sarah received a letter from John dated 17th Jany. which led us to believe he was an imposter so we got rid of him as quietly and quickly as possible - I suspected him the second day of his visit and told Anna of it - but she reproved me so sharply that I tried to think I was wrong but never could - your father has a letter from Mary about 2 weeks ago, she is in good health and spirits, and likes her studies - Joanna will get through with her school in a fortnight. I expect a short visit from her - today- the rest of the -
