Mr Muir: Dear Sir: Your letters has been received but a few days ago and I was sorry to hear that you had such a bad opinion of me. About three weeks after I was in Madison the last time I was taken sick with the with the typhoid fever, and [illegible] [illegible] got been well since. I can now walk around and intend to resume my school again on Monday next.
For this reason I have not been able to fulfill my promises. I do not now know wheth er you are in Madison or not. I shall be able to send you what I owe you in about two weeks. Write again that I may know where you are. I suppose you have vacation now. Truly, C. F. Oiebdy
