George Moscone started his political career at University of the Pacific (then called “College of the Pacific”), receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 1953. He was heavily involved in activities: floor leader of the basketball team, president of the Rho Lambda Phi fraternity, commissioner of the Rally Committee, and a member of both Student Senate and Assembly Committee. George Moscone received an Honorary Law Degree from University of the Pacific in 1976.
