Brownell, Gordon: Marijuana reform
Abstract
Gordon Brownell: George Moscone was not a reluctant advocate of marijuana reform. It wasn’t something that he was doing to please his constituents in San Francisco. Though San Francisco was the only county in the state that had passed the marijuana initiative. It certainly was easier in that sense for someone from San Francisco to be an advocate than somebody in Orange County would be, but he was behind it one hundred percent, and he was committed in getting other legislators from throughout the state to get behind it as well.
