Park-Li, Gimmy: Moscone
Abstract
Gimmy Park-Li: The important thing was that George really opened the doors for everyone. Not just Chinese-Americans but for all other Americans in San Francisco. He had a committee choosing the prospective members to these boards and commissions. They looked through all those resumés, they did interviews probably with the individuals, and they chose folks who really did know about parks, they chose folks who really did know about housing. But I think he was terrific. It was sad that his work was cut short.
