In the Florida savannahs, wading & swimming from hummock to hummock in the Tamarac swamp of the east/west, in the Canada woods in the far north at the level of the sea, roaming over mossy tundras, swimming lakes & rivers & arms of the salt sea from island to island among islands washed with white waves, or among the rocks & waterfalls & giddy precipices of the mountains everywhere this beautiful animal is at home, is in health & never is awkward, never makes one ungraceful step, adding beauty to [making] every landscape wild garden & grove more beautiful. A truly admirable creature & a great credit to Nature.]
